Sunday I decided to take the Grandkids to ride the Carousel at the Mall.
Great Grandma went with us and though it was a quick trip it gave us all something to do and the kids had fun.
It is a great place with a beautiful carousel and an ice rink both built on the same end with the food court!!
Sylas was so excited, Grandma got a little dizzy!
We then hit up the other rides for little ones.
This was his favorite for some reason.
No stop would be complete without an ice cream treat.
Sunday Fun Day~
Going in my gratitude jar for one of my first blessings of the year.
Everyone was healthy, the sun was shinning
and it’s fun to spend some time with them even if it’s just a short visit.
It was a great day~
I realize my posting frequency has dropped.
But hopefully, I’ll get back in a rhythm again…. soon.
Tonight…… we’re having a Surprise 30th Birthday Party for my son.
Makes me feel old.
But why is it that when you look in the mirror you look older than you feel?
This weekend, I hope to start my fairy garden.
They have been popping up all over and I want to give it a try.
I plan on grabbing a partner, my grand-daughter and scouring for some miniatures to put in our fairy scene and getting it started.
Not sure what we’re going to use yet, but I’m thinking an old wheelbarrow, like this one.
I had the cutest visitor, my grandson, come and join me for breakfast.
He wasn’t very demanding, just wanted something to eat, something to play with and some hugs until his Daddy picked him up. Of course, he was dressed in kid friendly fatigues.
I was happy to oblige him.
So was the dog. Some fruit, cereal, turkey sausage and milk. Breakfast of champions. I think she got most of the sausage!
A fun interruption for the day.
He ended up getting to stay until after his nap. I really hate to give him naps at my house, I’d rather keep on playing but he was getting tired. Then his Dad finished up what he needed to do and picked him up.
One of the best parts of being a grandparent is that you get to have all the fun!
(Sorry for the eye squints, I had them stand in the sun, not such a great idea.)
I am not much of a DIY gal, although I do like to make gifts for people when I can. As far as projects around the house if it involves to many steps, I would rather just hire or beg (the hubs) to do it. I like small, quick projects. If I can use a can of spray paint on it, get out my staple gun and staple it or hammer it in the wall, I’m good with it.
But I did make a Valentine’s Day gift this weekend for my grand-daughter. I figured she’ll get all the cards and sweets she needs and I have been wanting to make her one of these for awhile. It didn’t require much…… just some time for glue drying in between coats.
I recently pinned some cute ideas on my Valentine’s board over at Pinterest, if you want to check them out. Some very creative people out there! Either click above or use my sidebar link to go straight there.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
I was lucky enough to be able to spend the weekend with my grand-daughter, Madi.
We went for a wagon ride………
~went school clothes shopping
~ taught her how to arrange flowers
~went to the “Big Pool”
~and to the movie.
Ate, ice cream, popcorn, slushies, sweet tarts, pancakes and hot dogs…oh my!
